About Tambola
Tambola, also called Housie, is the much-loved number game played at family gatherings, kitty parties and office events. One person uses the caller, which draws numbers from 1 to 90 with no repeats, shows a board of every called number and can read numbers aloud in English or Hindi. Everyone else gets their own ticket on their own phone: 15 numbers in 3 rows, just like a paper ticket. Mark numbers as they are called and race for Early Five, Top Line, Middle Line, Bottom Line and Full House. Every ticket has a 5-digit code, so the host can check any claim instantly. It is free, needs no sign-up, and is just for fun, with no money involved.
Tips
- Turn on auto call with a 5 or 8 second gap so the host can play too.
- Use the Hindi voice for elders at family gatherings.
- Claim prizes by telling the host your ticket code: the checker highlights every called number.
- Agree on fun rewards before you start, like choosing the next song.
Tambola is free to play on GameChakra. It works in any modern browser on mobile, tablet and desktop, with no download or sign-up. Your scores, XP and achievements are saved automatically on your device.
